These are portraits of my cats, Obi & Chewie. They are scottish folds, which can be referred to as a ‘torture breed’. The gene that gives them small folded ears also causes lifelong joint pain in these animals. They are young and active now, but as they age, they will develop pain and health problems from this gene mutation. Please do not buy scottish folds from a breeder! This breed is unethical and the pain these animals experience is unacceptable. If you are looking for cats, consider visiting your local shelter or look into ethical breeding practices!
