I have a couple of free resources available that explain my process and show the basic steps of how I create. They are a good place to start when looking for helpful information about how to draw digitally, both for beginners and more experienced artists. In return for these free resources, all I ask is that you sign up to my newsletter. Here’s what you get in return:
These are the brushes I use most often in my painting process, especially the hard round! The brush set is in .ABR format, so it can be used in both Photoshop and Procreate.
This image shows the basic step-by-step process that I use for almost all of my digital art! It’s truly fundamental if you want to understand my workflow.
This is a full tutorial in .PDF format, which shows you my process for drawing a face and how I use digital tools to create it. This workflow can be used in any digital software!
These tutorials are comprehensive, lengthy tutorials showing my process in Photoshop from start to finish. I take the time to explain my tools and workspace, and show you the full painting process of the entire image. They range from 40 minutes to over an hour, and have a voice-over to explain the steps.
There are currently three artbooks featuring my work: The Art of Loish, The Sketchbook of Loish, and The Style of Loish. Each artbook contains two detailed tutorials, as well as tips and suggestions for digital art and drawing in general. They show my process from beginning to end and discuss my thought process and mindset while drawing. You can buy your copy directly from my publisher, 3Dtotal, or through various webshops such as Amazon. Click on the images to learn more about the books.
